No More 'Monsters vs. Aliens' Movies

The L.A. Times has posted an article about Dreamworks' third-quarter earnings, and in it, they note that the company has decided against making a sequel to this year's Monsters vs. Aliens.

Dreamworks chief executive officer Jeffrey Katzenberg told the Times that the film did not perform well enough in crucial foreign markets to warrant a follow-up, and he claims the company does not know why. "I'd like to tell you there's a perfectly rational, clear and easy answer as to why not," he said, "but there isn't."

So, for everyone holding out hope to get to see B.O.B. or Insectosaurus once again, it looks like we're out of luck.
