Full 2.5-minute 'Avatar' Chase Scene Shows Off Visual Effects Quality

Jake Sully from 'Avatar'

20th Century Fox has released a full two-and-a-half minute scene from Avatar on IGN. The scene is of the Na'vi avatar of main character Jake Sully being chased by a large creature, called a Thanador, on Pandora.

While the sequence is not terribly original or thrilling -- it's pretty much your typical "vicious animal" chase scene -- it does a good job of further showing off Avatar's visual effects clarity. We see a wide range of movements and facial expressions from Sully, all of which look perfectly real. The avatar even looks flawless beneath the sheen of water after emerging from the river.
