The second featurette for Predators has now been released. This one focuses on some of the ideas behind the film from a production standpoint. Robert Rodriguez and director Nimrod Antal talk about the decision to cast Adrien Brody in the lead role, the balance of CGI and physical special effects, and the setting of the film on a distant planet.

I'll admit that I was one those who didn't think there was any way Brody could pull off an action-oriented role when his involvement in the film was originally announced (my exact words were, "If ... the filmmakers are simply going to try to make Brody into a tough guy, they'll be facing an uphill battle that they very well may lose"). Seeing the trailers and featurettes now, though, he honestly seems to fit the part. Looks like he has more range than I gave him credit for.
