'Alien Anthology' Blu-ray Details and L.E. Packaging Confirmed

I personally own the Alien Quadrilogy box set, and that's a pretty awesome set of DVDs -- the four real Alien movies with tons of extras. If Fox were to release that same set in Blu-ray, I'd probably not worry about paying for the upgrade, even considering how awesome the films will likely be in HD. However, I have just learned what will convince me to upgrade: the same set, in Blu-ray, with totally badass packaging. Just take a look at that thing.

Ridley Scott Says Weird Things about 'Alien,' Post-conversion, and the 'Alien' Prequels (Plural)

First, some quick news: We recently heard Ridley Scott talk about being close to wrapping up the script for his Alien prequel, but now The Playlist has reported that Scott is saying there will in fact be two prequels. Kinda funny how he used to be so against sequels/prequels, and now he wants to make two for the same franchise. Not that I'm complaining.

Ridley Scott's 'Alien' Prequel WILL be about the Space Jockey; Plus: New Aliens?

Back in October, it sounded like Ridley Scott's then-recently-announced prequel to Alien probably wouldn't be about the famous space jockey. Now it looks like our assumptions were wrong. Ridley Scott: 'Alien' Prequel to be Set Too Far Back for Space Jockey

Empire was recently able to get a few words out of Ridley Scott about his upcoming return to the Alien franchise.

Alien

Dan O'Bannon, writer of Alien, said that he likes "Alien" as the title because it is both a noun and an adjective1. This sort of double meaning seems relevant also to the way it affected its 1979 audiences. A compliment that only the greatest of any type of horror film receives, there are stories of viewers, and even ushers, fainting and throwing up in theaters. Supposedly even Jack Nicholson and Warren Beatty screamed "like two little boys" throughout the whole second half of the movie2.
