'Alien Anthology' Blu-ray Details and L.E. Packaging Confirmed

I personally own the Alien Quadrilogy box set, and that's a pretty awesome set of DVDs -- the four real Alien movies with tons of extras. If Fox were to release that same set in Blu-ray, I'd probably not worry about paying for the upgrade, even considering how awesome the films will likely be in HD. However, I have just learned what will convince me to upgrade: the same set, in Blu-ray, with totally badass packaging. Just take a look at that thing.

Star Wars Finally Coming to Blu-ray

IGN (and a host of others) reported over the weekend that Steve Sansweet confirmed at C2E2 that Lucasfilm is actively working on (and has been for several years) a Blu-ray release for the Star Wars saga. Supposedly there's a lot of extras coming along with it, as well.

For anyone who's interested, director McG will be hosting a live Blu-ray screening of Terminator Salvation (released on Blu-ray this coming Tuesday, December 1) on Saturday, December 5 at 9 p.m. (EST).
